Who we are

Calc ("we", "us") operates calc.so, a natural language calculator that turns your questions into interactive, shareable calculations. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and basic profile information provided by you or your sign-in provider (such as Google).
• Calculations. The questions you submit and the calculations generated from them. Calculations you choose to share are public.
• Usage data. Basic technical information such as browser type, device, and pages visited, used to operate and improve the service.

How we use it

• To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
• To process your questions. Queries are sent to AI providers (such as Anthropic) to generate calculations, and to financial data providers to fetch prices. These providers process your query content to return results.
• To authenticate you and keep your saved calculations.
• To communicate with you about the service.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third parties for their marketing.

Service providers

We rely on third-party services to run Calc, including Supabase (authentication and database), Anthropic (AI processing), and market data providers for stock and crypto prices. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

Data retention

We keep your account data and saved calculations while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

You may access, update, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

Children

Calc is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
